To love as God loves we must see as God sees.
WHY IS IT HARD TO TALK ABOUT THINGS THAT ARE PERSONAL, POLITICAL, OR CONTROVERSIAL?
Because it’s hard to talk about things that are energized with emotion or that are personal
Because it’s hard to talk about something that is moral without an “objective” standard
We have exchanged truth for tolerance and therein we have lost our understanding of “objective truth”
Because it’s hard to not “throw the baby out with the bath water”
WHY IS IT HARD TO TALK ABOUT RACE?
Because it’s hard to talk about an issue that we don’t “see” it as an issue
Because every human being, regardless of race, feels most comfortable within their comfort zones
To confront sin, or sinners, is uncomfortable
IF GOD WERE TO TALK ABOUT IT, WHAT WOULD HE SAY TO US?
To love as God loves we have to see as God sees
We can’t have an authentic human relationship with a category, but we can with a person
IF GOD WERE TO TALK ABOUT IT, WHAT WOULD HE ASK OF US?
Have the courage and the integrity to start with you
Close the door to sin
Learn more about the core issue, not the peripheral noise and reactions
WHAT’S ONE THING YOU CAN DO TO RESPOND TO GOD?
Have a conversation with a person of color and ask them what is their experience
